NL-Lab

is a research group in the KNAW Humanities Cluster, founded by Huygens ING and the Meertens Institute in 2019. NL-Lab conducts research on Dutch culture and identity in the past and present. How is national identity constructed and felt? How does the Netherlands talk, how does the Netherlands taste, and how do the Dutch tell their history? In what ways is Dutch identity at stake, and for whom? With the aid of innovative research methods, NL-Lab brings together expertise from different fields to develop new perspectives on these pressing questions.
